Evacuated Glass tubes are used as the absorber in ETC Solar Water heaters. The ETC is having two tubes with vacuum between the tubes. The outer tube is transparent allowing light rays to pass through with minimal reflection. The inner tube is coated with a special selective coating (Al- N- Al) which features excellent solar radiation absorption and minimal reflection properties. The trapped heat inside the tube will not transferred to the outer tube because of vacuum.
